i keep a small Moleskine watercolor book in my back pocket most of the time in case i get stuck somewhere and need to do some doodling. despite being a watercolor book, i've only ever painted in it twice and actually spend most of my time writing creepy little messages to myself instead of drawing

i've been really busy lately, with my day job and other arts stuff, and my poor back pocket book has been sorely neglected. i can't even keep it in my back pocket anymore because it keeps getting mutilated by an unsettling obsession with sitting on strange objects. nevertheless, we press onward, always

back pocket drawings this week [mid august pt.2]

i haven't been having good luck with these new books. i tried using one with less pages this time around, but the thing is getting SUPER creased way faster than i expected. i'll give it a little longer, see how things go. in the meantime...

i felt like i was getting too anal with my linework with this purple pen, so i'm going back to the pink one for a minute to see if it's the pen or if that's just how i draw now

i've been working on my thing to hock at APE and tried taking one of those cool progress shots of my drawing table, but my bedroom just doesn't look as rad as a real studio so you'll have to wait for me to finish and scan everything. sorry
